Help needed with BTA10250D balance shutoff issue
Hello,
I purchased a BTA10250D online. I followed the install instructions and used line level wiring. When I turned the volume on my HU up to a reasonable normal listening level the amp would shut off.
I tried double and triple checking my wiring, tried moving it from front speakers to rear and back. Tried different settings on my head unit, etc. I finally found that if I turned the balance 100% to the left, I can raise the volume up and the sub hammers.
As soon as you move the balance back toward center or even 100% to the right it cuts off.
So I resorted to using RCAs from the read unit to try and see if that would help. But alas, it did not. Same issue.
This morning I purchased and installed a LOC wired to the front speakers. And passed that to the sub... Only to find the same issue is still present.
So I have tried every possible option I can think of for wiring configurations and nothing helps.
Does this mean my BTA10250D could be defective?
Anyone have another solution I should try?
I've been working on this for over a month and I'm getting fed up trying to pour more time and money into a project that I thought was the most optimal plug and play solution for my 2012 Scion IQ.
I look forward to your replies.
Thank you,
- Brian
