Default Problem with BTA 10250D BT

Just finished installing a 10250D in a 2008 Ford Expedition. We ran power straight from the battery, connected the orange remote wire to a fuse, and used high level inputs from the rear speaker wires near the rear doors. We did not get into the radio or the dash. When the tube is connected and the car turned on, the radio produces no sound at all from either the tube or the four speakers. If we unplug the connection from the tube, we get sound from the four speakers. If we then re-connect the tube after the radio is already playing, everything works including the tube. Any advice? We've tried connecting to different fuses, but it doesn't seem to matter. The head unit is the stock unit. There may be an amp hidden somewhere, but we're not sure. Do we need to get to the speaker wires behind the head unit instead of back in the doors? I'm really confused and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

It sounds like you may be having an impedance issue with the factory system. Installing an LOC should take care of the problem. Look to purchase a PAC SNI-45T or one that has the same low voltage trigger remote.

Thanks! I used an old LOC that I had in my garage and everything works now.
