Cool BTA6100 Cutting out when Volume increased

I just put the MC-HON-AMK amp in my 2008 gl1800 along with the BTA6100 but I am having a problem with the Amplified Sub cutting off. When the volume goes past 12 or 13 the BTA6100 cuts off. I unplug the Harness that goes from the amp to the BTA6100 and plug it back in and BOOM! the bass is back on, increase the volume and it is out again. I wiggle the wires when it is playing and it does not cut out, and it is grounded on the antenna support in the trunk. The gain on the amp is 3/4 of the way up. Is this a problem with the amp orthe BTA6100?
