Need Subwoofer Help/Opinions
Not unlike everybody else, I want more bass! Have Hogtunes speakers, amp, and tweeter pod on fairing of 09 Electra Glide Classic. Thought I might try a subwoofer. Even if I don't hear a whole lot more bass over 50 mph, just thought a subwoofer might give me that little extra thumpin' to satisfy my need for bass.
--Is it worth it to have a subwoofer? Does it really help at 70 mph?
--Need to know which subwoofer to get.
--Where would you put it? Inside Tourpak?
--Does a subwoofer take alot of power away, that the bike needs? Amp is 32 watts/channel (minimum)
Thanks for your help, and looking forward to tips & opinions.

Thanks heavyduty. I'm new here --- just today, as a matter of fact. Which threads do they look at, so I know I'm in the right place?

Re: Need Subwoofer Help/Opinions
Hello Geezrglidr, You are correct about hearing a sub at 70 MPH and being you add it in the trunk it's already behind you but I think it is a killer buy and upgrade for your bike or any bike lets face it your not always doing 70MPH and it will fill your sound up bass always fills the sound up so to anwser your question yes it is worth it abd easy in and easy out for touring when you need the extra space take care and rubber side down Red

Re: Need Subwoofer Help/Opinions
Thanks Red. Does that 8" have a pre-amp, like someone told me I should have? Also, does a sub "drain" the battery, or use more power than the bike or battery can give it?

Jim, the BTA8100 does have a built in amplifier and the current draw is minimal, the in-line fuse is 7.5 amps. Here is a link to the product page;
http://www.bazooka.com/products/mobi...ified-Tube-P38
You can also download the owner's manual and read up on the Tube and the specs.

Jim, from all of the post's received on the Forum, everyone that installs a Bazooka on their bike, is always impressed. It is a great upgrade to the factory sound system and I think you too will be impressed. If you have anymore questions or even technical questions, please either post back or please send Geneh or Red a PM.
