hey, i believe the recommended enclosure size is .7 cubic feet. that of course is internal dimensions. your sub will displace about .05 cubic feet and you need to factor in the thickness of your walls. you should use 3/4 inch mdf(medium density fiberboard) and secure it with wood glue and 2" wood screws. drill out the holes and screw while the glue is wet, making a firm seal .the smallest you want to go is probably about .5 cubic feet, you will lose some low freak response but it should be ok. and yes, facing your subs towards the rear is better.
