Default High/low level inputs - need help

I am thinking about getting an amp with high level inputts, because my cars decs does not have rca preouts and buying a new deck and harness is a lot of money. If I go with this option, do i still need a remote wire to turn the amp on/off.(I would only have to run 1 wire to the front of the car?) Also how much does the high input affect quality compared to the rca inputs.

Yes, you still need a remote wire.

High Vs. low level isn't as much of a deal as it used to be--the sound quality will be fine in 99% of applications.
