Default RX-T1 vs. EL1004

Just out of curiosity which of these two subs has better spl/sq or just plain hits harder than the other in a sealed box?

I've been told that the triangles hit just as hard as the EL series subs (the 1204's atleast) and the only advantage with the triangles is that you can fit more into tight areas because of the shape and mounting capabilities.
