Default 6100 in the trunk of my GoldWing. Need more!

Greetings! I recently purchased and installed a new BTA6100 in the trunk of my 2006 goldwing. I'd say it is a definate upgrade to the sound while in the garage and riding around town at up to ~45 MPH. At highway speed I can't hear or feel the bass. I'm wondering if upgrading to the 6250 or 8250 would improve the sound while riding on the highway or not...Any advice? The whole trunk is almost gone with the 6100, might as well eat up whats left in the name of THUMP!

The goal is to feel some bass while on the highway and jammin. Thx.

More power will allow for more output, and adding an increase in size will also help (8250D). Just be aware that you will have to make a different power connection for the 250D. This will have to be fused directly at the positive battery terminal. Call Tech. Support for any questions concerning doing this install. 1-800-THE-TUBE.

Cool thanks, I'll put that on my wish list!

Just to verify, the BTA8250D subwoofer will fit in the trunk of the 01-10 Goldwing, correct?

I understand it will suck a bit of juice and will need to be wired properly.

Thanks again

Thanks!

Yes, it will but it will take up the whole trunk.

I want 8250 too for my GL1800!

Few questions:
1) I have J&M speakers that works well, but they decreased a bit maximum volume because of more power in watts. As I know 8250 will add 4 ohms to my system... Will my speakers volume be reduced again?

2) Can 8250 be plugged in my system without purchasing amplifier for my speakers?

Thank you!

Adding the BTA8250D will not cause a reduction in volume because you are not powering the Tube off of the system, only creating a signal source when connecting the Tube using the High Level Inputs.

Yes, you can use the BTA8250D without purchasing an amplifier for your speakers, however, the reduction in volume of your replacement speakers is most likely due to a decrease in efficiency or a change in impedance which will cause the lower volume output. You may find at some point in time the desire to add an amplifier to your existing system.

I have already ordered 8250D tube.
To have an ability to swap it in a winter time to my car, I got a question: where can I buy WIRING only to install it in my car and prepare it for easy swap/

You can purchase an additional harness and have the wiring in your vehicle complete so that switching the Tube will be simple plug and play.
