bta10100 vs bta10250
Hi all, new to this forum...I want to give the sound in my 2011 Subaru STi more depth and after much research between a ported subwoofer in a carpeted box and a bazooka tube I have decided on the latter.
I listen to a variety of music including Hip Hop, R&B, Classic Rock, and Metal. My car is a sedan and I dont necessarily need my rocker panels to shake but I do want some good lows. Should I get the bta 10100 or the bta 10250 for that extra power.
Also will that extra power translate to more bump? Will even the bta 8250 suit my needs?
I've searched the forum and couldn't find the answers to my question, sorry if this has been discussed before.
Thanks

Re: bta10100 vs bta10250
haha read a few posts down I have a 2011 STI 5-door and I bought the 10 inch 250 watt just to go all out as far as amplified from bazooka. it barely takes up any space in the back and it HITS HARD, I can't see out of my side mirrors at 30 on the radio with the bass a -1 on the radio and the tube knobs at 50%.
I say go for the 250 watt!
also tap into the front speakers not the rear I went through hell until I found out not to use the back speakers.

Welcome to the Bazooka Forum. With a continously adjustable crossover and the ability to upgrade down the road by adding a passive Tube (referred to as a slave unit) somewhere down the road, choosing the 250D does have advantages over the BTA10100. And yes, having more power will increase your output as well.
With a having a sedan, I'd chose the BTA10250D.

Will I need the Bazooka RBCM-250D Remote control module or do you think I can control bass levels through the HU? Thanks

Re: bta10100 vs bta10250
get the remote our HU have very little as far as bass tuning
I am able to make the car shake or leave very little bass with the knobs the radio can't do that.

You will be able to control the volume of the overall system with your headunit, but the RBCM will allow both volume and crossover adjustment of the Tube from the driver's seat, which always comes in handy. Not to mention, it is relatively inexpensive. Tuning from the driver's seat, however, is priceless.

that I can't help with but I believe that extra 2 inches can make a big difference.

An increase in cone size (think surface area) will always be noticeable, especially with all things being equal in terms of power.
