Welcome to the Bazooka Forum. Make sure that you also check your ground connection. If your ground checks out, call Customer Service (1-800-THE-TUBE) with regards to amplifier replacement for your EL.

Did you remember to remove the yellow turn on loop on the harness?

I am sorry, but that price is no longer valid. The new price would be $49.95, and you would need to have a return authorization issued for you to return your amplifier to us. would like to get some opinions on whether it is worth it to repair the tube or just look for another working one?

In my opinion, spend the money and have the amplifier repaired. You may be able to find another used Tube for the same amount or a bit less, but you will still have a used Tube on your hands and have no idea on how the previous owner took care of the unit.

The woofer and the amplifier are the working components of the tube. The repair cost of $49.95 for the amplifier is inexpensive compared to the cost of purchasing new units. Even if you had to purchase a woofer, the price would range anywhere from $40-$60 plus freight. However, if you do choose to purchase from other online retailers, we recommend you purchase from only those retailers listed on our website. Any other dealer may not be able to provide warranty service, etc. A new BTA8100 would sell for $229 and a new BTA8250D would sell for $299.95. I hope the above information will help you when you make your decision.

hello, I've now gotten my el8a-hp working and it is great! the sound is awesome. it makes the other parts of my system sound weak. i am thinking of putting in a small amp for the four regular car speakers (two fronts and two rears) but how would this work with the powered sub that I have? would it work?

Adding an amplifier to power your other speakers is a great idea. As far as your question as to how this will work with the Tube, I don't understand what your asking. When you get a chance, post back to clarify what your concerns are.
