CP-KIT - C.H.I.L. System Wiring
Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to find a way to wire my C.H.I.L. system so that it turns on with the amplifiers. I know I can wire a switch to the front for manual I/O and patch into Accessory. I want to know if anyone has found a better, not-so-extreme approach. It was suggest to me to find a relay that would accept the remote signal to turn the system on and off. Please let me know what you have found that works.

patch, you can connect the C.H.I.L to a +12v key-on/key-off source, this will turn the pump on when your amplifiers are on without the need for a switch. You will want to wire a relay into the amplifiers remote turn-on if you have more then 2 amplifiers. What Bazooka amplifiers are you using?

Re: CP-KIT - C.H.I.L. System Wiring
Heavyduty,
I hear you're pretty helpful, thank you for your reply. I'm running the BA460 for my satellites and the BA1300 for my sub. I have them run in parallel off of a 3 farad cap to a common ground and the remote runs in series. There are a lot of relays to choose from, what amperage should I be looking for? Thanks again

patch, if you remove the cover on your BA1300, you will see a connection for your C.H.I.L. pump, look on page 8 in your owner's manual. As for your relay, a SPDT, 20/30A relay will be more then adequate for your install. Here is a link to the BA owner's manual if you don't have one.

Re: CP-KIT - C.H.I.L. System Wiring
What is the interface that plugs into that connection? The C.H.I.L. pump came without any connection peripheral.

patch, call 1-800-THE-TUBE and speak to the Tech. Department for the appropriate connector.
