Re: Transmission line
Awesome! Get it metered (Term lab or AC 190) and let us know what kind of numbers it's producing.
I would have told you 1 8" with 150 watts just to see the look on your face.

Re: Transmission line
lol...I'd be glad that someone guessed in the right power range. Everyone thought I was running a Kilowatt...but I am running a 1/5th of that. lol
I would get it metered but there's only one shop here that has a meter and they are *** about it...they never want to use it and charge 20 bucks to get it metered. I'll talk to my friend that works there though.

Re: Transmission line
I hear ya. What tickles me is the ones that say, "that shop is doing a system for me with two 15's that will beat your one 12. He said it'll do 165dB". Then go to a comp and the turds show up with a S-10 cut thru and walled just to barely break a 150(not to mention it was the first time anything that came from there broke 150, or for that matter even came close) and still get it handed to them by one 12 in the back of a 93 camaro (153.7).

Re: Transmission line
My build. The gentleman that owned the car was Justin Foster. He took 2nd place at SLAPSHOW world finals in 2002. Ironically, a good friend of mine took the championship in that class. We put the Camaro together a few weeks before finals. Justin had 0 points. We made 90 points before finals but had no time to really tweak everything. I know in my heart there were at least another 5-6dB left in that setup. I'm going to look up the schedule and post the shows he was at. By the way, are you in California? Hakeem needs an installer.

Re: Transmission line
I was mistaken. We made the 80 points needed to get to finals. We made 5 shows between 8/17 - 9/1/02.
1. 8/17/02 Blairsville,Ga. single points 152.1dB 10 points
2. 8/18/02 Buford,Ga. single points 152.8dB 10 points
3.8/24/02 Dalton,Ga single points 153.7dB 20 points (highest spl beat 6 12's in a wall)
4. 8/31/02 Roswell,Ga. double points 152.1dB 20 points
5. 9/01/02 Spartanburg,SC. double points 151.8dB 20 points

Re: Transmission line
I forgot to mention, finals were on 9/7-9/8/02. I was building 4 other cars(I think), including one that won the championship. The gentleman that won the championship with my build, handed me the trophy. I have it in storage.

Re: Transmission line
Go to www.iasca.com or www.soundoff.org (USACi) or maybe www.termpro.com (DB Drag racing) and check their event schedules.
