Default Tube choice for 71 Bug

Used to have a VW bus with tubes under the seats- loved every minute of it. 20 years later and I'm looking for something for my VW Beetle. There is enough room behind the rear seat for any system so size isn't an issue. I'm looking for recommendations- not looking to blow the doors off- just good clean bass with pop. Listen to mostly rock- classics to today.

For example- the 6" 200W is same price as 8" 100W. Does the larger speaker make up for less power? In essence, do they sound basically similar, so it's a size issue?

Do to the small size of the interior do I need more than a 6"?

Any guidance you can give is appreciated. Thanks

The bigger the woofer the deeper and louder it is. For the type of music you listen to the 8" would probably be what you are looking for. Is the rest of your system going to stay stock? That is what will decide between the 250D or the 100 watt tubes.

The rest of the system is not stock- one 5" in the dash. I have a pair of 6" 2 ways in the door panels and will add a pair of 2 or 3 ways in the rear. Head unit is aftermarket junk- will be upgrading and possibly adding small amp for the speakers. There are only a few options for units in the stock location- opening is too small, so any upgrade reguires building a console under the dash. But when I do that I will be relocating other gauges from the dash and adding others which is more involved than I have time for right now.
