On/off pattern

I recently purchased a: Bazooka BTA6100 BT Series 6-Inch 100-Watt Amplified Tube Subwoofer.


I installed it, in two different vehicles and in both of the vehicles it does the following: It powers on, and works for about 2 minutes, then it turns off, and then after about 2 seconds or so it powers back on. This pattern continues indefinitely.

FYI: I have it hooked up without the remote lead, with the harness/clip that came with the tube and I am using only the RCA outputs of the head unit as the sound input into the tube.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I had wanted to add that I am using the low level inputs from this head unit, these are the specs of the unit:

Check your ground to begin with. If the ground is good, disconnect the Auto-Turn On Loop and connect the remote turn-on wire of the Tube to the amplifier remote of the headunit. If you are still having the same problem, connect the remote turn-on of the Tube to the +12v constant power supply and see if the problem continues to exist.
