FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
We have now posted detailed installation instructions on how to use the FAST-9999 Universal Harness. This information is available in the Tech Info\Installation Manuals section of our website, as well as, on the FAST-9999 product page. But, here is the link for those of you passing through here!

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
Hi, after looking over the installation instructions, do you mean that you use the red wire in the FAST wiring harness to power the bazooka sub? You don't need to run a separate wire connected directly to the battery? What gauge is the red wire in the FAST-9999 harness? What gauge is the corresponding wire in the FAST-BTAH wiring extension?
Thanks for having this forum. I'm thinking of buying the BTA850FH, which includes the FAST wiring harness, from Crutchfield.

Welcome to the Bazooka Forum toast. That is correct, when using the FAST System, you do not need to connect to the positive post of the battery terminal (this only applies to the BTA850 and the BTAXX100 line as these Tubes have a minimal current draw). The FAST-9999 and the FAST-BTAH both use 16 gauge wire. Please post back with any questions you may have.

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
I am about to purchase a BTA8100 or a BTA10100 - both come with FAST kits. I have aslo read the installation manual, the FAST instruction sheet and the prior posts and need some clarification. The vendor (large retailer) wants to sell me a 3rd party "instalation kit" saying I need at least 10g wire plus an inline fuse to connect to + battery terminal. Can I use just the FAST harness? If I use the FAST harness is there need for an additional fuse. Thanks.

Welcome to the Bazooka Forum. No, you do not need to purchase a installation kit to install a BTA8100 or BTA10100 Tube. The FAST Harness takes care of everything for you, safely and easily. No need for additional fuses either, connect the harness, mount the Tube, plug everything in and you are good to go. Please post back with any questions you may have.

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
In the instruction manual it says you need a power wire? And it mentions some yellow and orange wires and remote turn on options. I dont really understand the difference and how to hook up my tube to one of these settings?

Just for further clarification with the part quoted in the parentheses above, both the BTA850 and BTAXX100 subs DO NOT need to connect directly to the battery.
Both subs can simply be installed using the provided FAST harness with wire taps to be correctly installed and retaining the warranty. Basically plug and play.
Sorry for this slightly redundant question but the part quoted in brackets can be viewed 2 ways and I feel this is important considering the warranty could be invalidated if not installed properly.

No need to apologize, if you're not sure it is always best to ask.
As for the 2 ways to view what you have underscored, I don't quite understand what your concern is, however, let me see if I can hopefully clarify what I do think the problem may be.
When you are dealing with the BTA850 and the BTAXX100 amplified Tubes (and only these amplified Tubes), you can connect the Tubes one of two ways that will not void the warranty while providing a safe, secure installation. The first being the traditional method of connecting the power wire of the Tube to the positive battery terminal of the vehicle using a fused power cable. The second method would be using the FAST Harness System, which taps into the factory harness of the audio system to make the +12v constant connection as well as all the other connections.

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
I am trying to install the fast-9999 to my radio harness. The wire diagram I have says I do not have a accessory switched 12v+ wire. If this is true, what do I connect the blue/white wire?

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions
Hi, I just purchased the BTA850FH, my receiver has RCA jacks for Sub output.
1. Is it recommended I use the RCA jacks instead of using the FAST harnesses speaker connections?
2. Also, if I were to use the RCAs, the FAST harness RCAs are both the same color, but the connections are Red/White on the receiver, I assume it does not matter how they are inserted.
3. Is there a danger in connecting both the speaker and RCAs up together?
4. What is your opinion on using the RCAs vs the speaker connections.
Thanks
