Hello from the Bay Area, BTA6200.
Hello. I came here because I just purchased my bazooka tube with built in amp. I'm having a problem getting power to it..The wires are giving out power but when I connect it to the amp the LED doesnt light up..does anyone have any idea why? The car I am installing it in is an 1989 MR2

Welcome to the Bazooka Forum Alberts. I am sorry to hear about your car audio problems, however, I am certain we can figure out what the problem is and correct it. Before we begin troubleshooting, can you please tell me which amplified Tube you have purchased?

OK Alberts, thanks for your answer, lets see if we can get to the bottom of this. Have you verified a proper ground using a DMM? The resistance at ground needs to be zero. Also, what connections are you using, High or Low Level? And for your turn-on or remote wire, where is this 12v source coming from?

I just realized you had the model number in the title of the thread, I apologize for not reading the entire title and asking you what model you had. Another quick question though, did you purchase the unit new or used?

An extremely quick way to see if the Tube is in fact operating (powering up) is to tie the 12v power with the 12v remote and ground the unit at a known good ground. If the unit does power up, then we can troubleshoot your connections and settings.
