Since I have several Amps laying around; is there a simple way to convert my BTA's into Passive Subwoofers?
(I was figuring maybe taking out the Amp unit or snipping some wires?)

Any help is appreciated
If you do decide to bypass the internal amplifiers on the Tubes you need to keep in mind the impedance of each voice coil as well as the power handling limit of the drivers (2 ohm DVC/100 watt power handling limit).

You can simply remove the connection from the internal amplifier to the terminals of the subwoofer, or, remove the internal amplifier completely. However, in going that route you will need to fabricate a back plate for the Tube. Keep all of the polyfill in the Tube.

However, keep in mind that if the Tube's are not a year old they are covered under warranty for repair or replacement if the Tube's are found to be defective. If you still decide to convert the Tube's, just be aware that you do void the warranty.

You can always increase the power handling of the Tube's by replacing the BTA drivers with the passive BT drivers.
