Re: BTA8100 wiring work for BTA10250D??

These two Tubes can be interchanged, leaving the existing wiring harness in place. You will, however, have to change out the mounting bases.

Re: BTA8100 wiring work for BTA10250D??

No. there is no plug and play interface between these two different series Tubes. Different Molex connectors, as well as power requirements.

Re: Quick upgrade from 8 to 10 inch?

The 250D does have a different Molex connector. The 250D needs a dedicated, fused power cable that is connected to the positive battery terminal. You will also need to install the included bases...

Re: Antique Tube

80 refers to the amplifier's output, not size of the woofer. A 8" model in that series would have a model number of T82-A80, with a 10" having the model number T102-A80.

That sounds like a T-80A. Posting pictures will allow me to verify if that is the model you do indeed have.

Re: Quick upgrade from 8 to 10 inch?

No, the extra length of the strap is not the issue at hand. The issue is about the bases. The 10" Tube, has a larger diameter, as such, the bases that the Tube sits in, is unique to the diameter of...

Re: Quick upgrade from 8 to 10 inch?

Extremely easy. Unplug the harness from the 8250D, remove Tube, remove mounting bases, install 10250D mounting bases, plug the harness into the 10250D, and you are good to go.

Re: Setting Crossover on HU with EL8A

Using the crossover on the headunit to filter out the low bass information, will see a reduction in the output of the Tube, due to the simple fact that you are removing low bass information. HPF...

Re: New Amp for my Bazooka BT6024DVC Sub

Bob, while the Tube does have a frequency response range of 39-1500Hz, it is still a subwoofer, which means, let it pull subwoofer duty.

Use the low pass filter on the amplifier and ideally look...

Re: Wire Identification Help Needed

You can connect the blue/white wire of the FAST-9999 to the same A3 wire or connect to A24. I suggest connecting to A24 first, using A3 as a second option.

Re: Single amp, dual voice coil

Yes, gain and input level are the same. If you are comfortable with using a DMM, there is always a formula you can use to set the gain or input level. A quick Google search can help you out with...

Re: Single amp, dual voice coil

600 watts does exceed the power handling of the Tube. The output of the amplifier will not ruin the speaker, however, you do need to be cautious when setting the gain level. Contrary to what people...

Re: Single amp, dual voice coil

A DVC unit allows for multiple wiring configurations, especially useful when using several drivers or Tubes.

That is not saying that you cannot use a single DVC Tube. If your amplifier is stable...

Re: Advise on rbcm250d remote

Re: BTA50FH low volume/low output

To begin with, to test for any significant bass information, simply uplug the Tube, fade to rear and listen for any bass. After, fade to front and compare the results.

Double check the phase of...

Re: Slightly torn subwoofer surround

Take the approach that allows for the smallest amount of adhesive. This means the edges of the flap itself. There is no need to coat the entire area.

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

Re: Slightly torn subwoofer surround

If the tear is small enough, you can try to use a glue, such as a sealant, however, the overhwleming factor you have to be aware of is adding weight to the subwoofer itself. This is always a bad...

Re: BTA50FH low volume/low output

As the power connections check out, as well as the phase of the inputs, the one thing left to check would be to determine if your rear speakers are sending a signal to the Tube that it can actually...
