Re: BTA6100 Help

Take a look at all of the connections at the FAST-9999 and the head-unit, making sure they are secure. As for the on-off switch you wired in, I doubt that your problem lies there. My initial...

Re: A-40 Tube - HELP

Any other noises? Any kind of ignition noise when driving? Any turn-on thumps? My initial thought is to check the ground connection. And, while you are at the back of the Tube, take a moment to...

Re: A-40 Tube - HELP

It should work out, most of the time pin size is universal. You may not have a locking harness, but you can always find a way around that.

Re: A-40 Tube - HELP

Yes, you are correct, so you will have to connect directly to the pins, either by soldering wires one at a time, or, using a 16-22 AWG connector.

As for the missing pin, that is the negative pin...

Re: Marine MA475D Power Cable

At 3 feet long and a maximum draw of 40 amps, you will be fine with an 8 gauge or a 4 gauge. It is always a good idea to fuse the power cable from the power source. The in-line fuse is for any...

Re: Excellent!

There is no need to cut off the RCA's if you are not using them. You can tape them up if you'd like, but it is more important to make sure they are out of the way.

As for the mounting, use the...

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

Using the FAST-9999 and the FAST-BTAH, hook up will be a breeze. Connect the red wire of the FAST-9999 to the +12v constant power source of the head unit, these are usually the yellow wire on...

Re: Troubleshooting Help

Was the Tube playing fine and the problem develop suddenly? Try this, with music playing, twist the level knob several times and see if anything happens, and then repeat with the crossover knob.

Re: BTA6100 Help....again!

The thump-zzz, is this only when music is playing, or do you notice it when the car is at idle or moving? Does the sound stay constant, or does it vary in speed?

First thoughts, check your...

Re: 10in Amplified 250w tube

You will have to replace the current subwoofer with a 4 ohm DVC model, to have a 2 ohm mono load.

Re: BTA10100 new install

Yes, it is normal. Have you ever noticed how slow the interior lights of your car turn off after you exit? But when they are off, they are off.

Re: BTA10100 new install

Move the red wire of the Tube to the constant +12v power, and the blue/white wire of the Tube to the switched +12v power. This should see the green light turn off.

Re: what is optimal low pass frequency

Optimal is 90hz, and adjust down from there. However, since you do not have that available, start at 100hz. I say optimal, as 90Hz is the maximum frequency before bass begins to become directional....

Re: Powered Subwoofer Wiring

Thoughts? Absolutely, and it is an easy fix. If you are connected to a speaker, like a tweeter, that has no bass information present, what is the Tube supposed to reproduce?

The owner's manual...

Re: Powered Subwoofer Wiring

Nope. You are not doing anything by connecting to the speakers, other than producing a signal source. You are not powering the Tube, again, only creating a signal source from this location. Check...

Re: MARINE MA475D (Speaker connecting terminals)

You are seriously over thinking this. Feel free to use any type of stranded copper wire. These terminals are usually made out of brass.

Re: bazooka 200 watt csa 50.2

300 watts is the max power rating, and it really doesn't mean anything as far as output. Wire each speaker in parallel, and connect to each channel. A 2 ohm stereo load is equal to the bridged...

Re: mounting tube

My first suggestion is to run like hell. At the very minimum, you are looking at potential port noise, from the screws in the port area. However, that is one piss poor way of mounting anything. ...

Re: Bta250d turns on once, then needs unplugged before next use

Yes, and it is an easy fix. You are running into an impedance problem using the factory sub for a signal input. Install an LOC and the problem will disappear. Find one that has a trigger output...
