Re: Blown amp?

Oh, and my bazooka stopped working again. I had it hooked up with low level inputs and auto turn-on and all of a sudden it stopped working again. Same thing as before, no power LED and no sound. So I...

Re: Blown amp?

I've tried that but my HU is adjustable for bass from -6 to 6 and I usually have it set at 2 for listening at high volume and set at 4 when listening at lower volumes for more bass. It also has no...

Re: Blown amp?

OK, I installed everything back into my car. The stuffing is still in the tube, I have it set to auto turn-on, and I bought and ran a 12 foot RCA patch cable(barely long enough) and it works good...

Re: Blown amp?

After looking through the owners manual I found the jumper and switched it to auto turn-on. I then hooked it up with a short RCA cable to my headunit(I completely tore apart the crappo wiring job...

Re: Blown amp?

OK, is there a way to test it with power but no remote turn-on? Because I would like to try to check if it's just getting power and not getting signal from the remote turn-on. I read in another...

Re: Blown amp?

Yes, there is a ground and a positive terminal on the tube, with blade type connectors. Both the blades which are soldered to the board came loose and were causing it to randomly lose power so I...

Re: Blown amp?

Also, I had the tube hooked up at Best Buy after I bought it and the guy there did a horrible splice job and he actually hooked the inputs in at the rear deck speakers and left a long wire hanging...

Re: Blown amp?

The ground is good, I had problems with the power terminals before and had to re-solder them on, but I had constant power to the fuse on the amp while they were hooked up and no LED and no bass. If...

I purchased a used Bazooka amplified bass tube a little over a year ago. It has worked well up until yesterday. Yesterday I noticed that I had no bass and the LED on the amplifier was off. I checked...
