Yea that is a great Idea but I just called all the sound shops in my area and nobody sets their gain that way so Im kinda screwed. I gonna see if I can use the oscilloscope in my automotive class....

Well they are 12 inch alpine type R subs, 2 ohm DVC rated at 200-500 RMS. They are in the right boxes which are ported. I have them wired in parallel for a 2 ohm load at the amp. The amp manual says...

What is clipping the signal mean? Am I going to fry my amp? The sound stays the same with the light on. It doesnt sound like the signal is being lost or anything. So pretty much I cant turn my bass...
