Yes, I do get out of my boat, and the music sounds great. Bass response is non-directional and typically wave lengths of 30-40 feet long, so stowing the product in a safe compartment on a boat...

Just for claification, the UMS8A is a mounting "accessory" and is not required to install your tube. The tube comes with mounting straps and bases to secure it in place. Not trying to talk...

The Compression Horn tubbies will give you more range/distance of sound. So if you're wanting to project the sound pretty far, then I would suggest the CHW product.
