Re: Season's Greetings
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I don't post much anymore (real life has a habit of getting in the way), but I still check the boards out semi regularly.

Re: Ground Wire Connection for MTBA8200
I just read the grounding instructions in the manual. Those instructions relate to a car/truck/van/SUV, which is pretty much all metal, and why they want you to keep the grounds as short as possible....

Re: Ground Wire Connection for MTBA8200
I don't think you'll have ANY problem if you run a separate ground from the battery to the tube, regardless of how long it is. Since it's a fiberglass boat, you aren't going to get any ground loops...

Re: Ground Wire Connection for MTBA8200
If you do ground to the seat, you need to make sure that the seat is grounded to the boats battery/electrical system. I've never seen boat seats in a fiberglass boat that were, unless the owner ran a...

If they're amplified tubes, yes. If they're passive tubes, no. Which model tubes are you getting?

RS2150HC fried
BOTH of the RS2150HC's in my garage stereo setup "exploded", caught the wall they were mounted to on fire, and burned down my shop.

Re: Speaker Brand Advice
I've got one set of each (400R, 525R, 650R) brand new, unused, still in the box. Just haven't gotten around to installing them in any of my vehicles yet. Hopefully at least one car (the one with an...

Re: Speaker Brand Advice
If you can find a set of the old Euphonic R series component sets (400R, 525R, 650R), you'll have some of the best ever made, at any price. I've got some EL's in both of my cars and my garage stereo...

Re: so what happened to the higher end speakers?
A few other things to consider concerning "bling":
It doesn't enhance actual performance.
If it's a speaker that's covered with a grille, who's going to see it?
It costs money to add it to a...

Re: Just droppijng in to say Howdy
I use fine sand in the sandblaster and glass beads in the cabinet. I use the sand at about 120psi for fast rust/paint removal on parts that aren't dimension critical. I use the glass beads at 30psi...

Glad to hear everyone is OK. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. We've got power back, so ice, food, gasoline, water, etc. are available here if you need it.
