Also got a problem with this unit working fine on radio stations but not with cd bass. Ground wire is perfect allowing green power on button to show. Why bass to radio stations and not to cd ?:read:

The only thing the owners manual states about ground location is place it close to amplifier. I have it by the mounting base bracket so I can't get much closer. Nevertheless i will try another...

Just curious to do it right. What am I touching each probe to on the dmm to check ohm resistance. The ground washer and the metal trunk bottom ?:read::confused: thanks again. If it is not zero then...

I hope someone can help. I just installed a bta8100 with universal fast screw down harness tapping into existing wires on an alpine factory radio. Radio has tuner and CD....
