Re: T-16 dual tube and the MGA4150
Thanks for the reply. The amp puts out good power at the 8 ohm mono load but, you've got my attention on the DVC route. I would really like the option of running the bridged part of my amp into a 4...

T-16 dual tube and the MGA4150
I have an old school T-16 dual tube (took a long time to find this old friend) and an MGA4150 amp. The T-16 is rated at 100 watts RMS per driver. If I bridge 2 channels of the MGA4150 at 8 ohms mono,...

Oldie but still goodie... possible future product?
After years of searching, I have been very fortunate to acquire a T16 dual woofer tube from one of our forum members, mbecke.
I figured I could do a mini review of my impression of this tube that...

Re: 3.5" rear satelite coax no bass tinny; help!
If it's within your budget and audio performce desires, I suggest dropping in maybe an amplified 6 or 8" bass tube into the back of your FJ. They don't take up much room and will fill in the missing...

Jordan,
I have a pair of the A-80 6.5 tubes. Essentially identical to your A-70. They were top of the line when they came out and sound incredible. My favorite feature is the amplified speaker...

Re: Which Tube?
Mike,
I agree that you'll be happy with an 8 inch sub. If your system was mine to design, I would get a passive sub and then power it with a seperate amp. I would use a 4 channel amp. That way...

Re: Most likely cause of noise in the "Tube"?
This sounds like a ground loop noise coming from source's signal. Are you using a stock headunit and line level converter or do you have an aftermarket headunit? Turn the woofer off, disconnect the...

Re: MGA11500h amp problems
I have an MGA11500H as well. I believe you may be starving your amp for current......Meaning, your vehicle's electrical system may not be up to the challenge of an MGA11500H running at 2 ohms. In...

Re: hmm need a little tube info???
I re-read the thread and something stood out. You seem to have a trend of blowing subs (home and auto). If I were you, as a suggestion from an audio fan, I would step back for a minute and think...

Then you're asking more of your drives then they are capable of. I agree that a stronger driver will be the best answer.
I do however find it difficult to understand how someone can blow a driver...

Re: hmm need a little tube info???
Be sure you have your subsonic filter set correctly on your amp otherwise, you risk pushing your subs beyond their excursion limits at ultra low frequencies. I suspect you may not have had it set at...

Once you get your sub sonic filter and low pass cross over settings adjusted, be sure to readjust your amplifier's gain setting.
