Bta6100 on a ultra classic.

Hello everyone. Im hoping i can get some help here. This is my first post and its also my first subwoofer. I took it into the audio store and had the mc-hd-amk 4 channel amp and the bta6100 bass tube professionally installed so i could get the best possible sound out of it since im new to the big audio world. Now to my problem.... The amp sounds great a d is super loud. I have aftermarket J&M 7 1/4 125 watt 2ohm speakers in the front and 5 1/4 125 watt 2ohm in the rear. The bass tube is mounted in the tour pak. With the lid open it sounds great as long as it is turned all the way up on the volume if tube. With the lid closed you dont even hear it. When i have the lid open it runs for a out 30 seconds then cuts out for about 2 seconds then runs again. The speakers dont cutout just the basstube? Can anyone tell me why it does that and why cant i hear it with the lid closed. As big as it is you would think it would pound the tourpak rite off the bike. And that is with the bike not running. Please help.

Did the shop use the FAST-HON-SIK kit? A grill comes with the kit that mounts in the front of the trunk behind the seat. As for the sound cutting in and out. Where is the ground wire located? Also if they did not use the FAST-HON-SIK make sure the yellow turn on loop is disconnected. You can contact me at 225-272-7135 or 1-800-843-8823 ext 226.
