85 hz fixed or variable 60-250hz

HI I am newbie...Does it make sense to get a BTA6200 instead of BTA6100 not because one has 100 watts vs 200 watts but the bta6200 can go up to 250hz using the variable control? Will it make the sound better. I have a boxy vw eurovan and my bass sucks big time. I have a sony cdx-gt54oui with rca plug for subwoofer with lpf that can be set to off 80, 100 120 140 and 160hz I just installed a bta6100 and set my sony lpf to 100hz and my speakers to start at 125hz. Suggestion ?

It all depends. Keep in mind, 250hz is not a sub-bass frequency, it is a mid-bass frequency. As long as you have decent size speakers you should have no problem reproducing mid-bass. If bass is what you are after, it makes much more sense to keep the crossover point low, 80-100hz range, for the Tube.
