BTA8100 BT recently developed problem
I have owned my 8" tube since October 2011. Up until a few days ago, I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
Recently my tube has started producing sounds of what I can only describe as random hits of distorted bass. It doesnt matter if the radio is on or off and every time it turn on the car, it produces about a 5 - 10 sec "hit" of distorted bass. Also, I noticed that if you move the tube or slightly tap the back of it, it produces the sound as well. My only guess is that a connection might be loose? Thanks for reading! |

Unscrew the amp from the cabinet and make sure all the mounting screws on the inside of the amp are still tight.

Is there a customer service number? |
Re: BTA8100 BT recently developed problem
Contact customer service at (800) 843-8823. You will need to provide the model and serial number for the unit. The serial number can be found on the inside rim of the half moon port on top of the tube. Anyone in customer service can assist you with setting up a return authorization for you.

Re: BTA8100 BT recently developed problem
Also, I dont know why, but my last 2 posts, where I included pictures, are not showing up.
Anyways, after my tube completely stopped working, I unscrewed the amp to find the 2 boards not connected. From pictures Ive seen, they should meet at a 90* angle. I find this strange because my tube has been strapped down in my trunk for about 9 months and hasnt had any problems until now. I just sent my RA in today so hopefully they can reattach the boards. |
