Weird noises after installation
 

Hi, I recently installed my BTA8100FHC with the FAST system and when I reconnected the battery, with the car still off I noticed a hiss sound coming from my front right speaker. When I turned the car on I noticed even with the radio off or on the sub was pulsing on its own. The noise from the pulsing increased as I turned up the gain.
I checked all my connections into the factory HU and my ground was good. No matter what I tried I couldn't get those issues to go away. Please Help!

By the way I don't know if this helps but I have a '05 Mazda 3 and I've tried plugging the red wire of the FAST system to the constant 12v of the head unit and the blue/white wire into the 12v switched and also tried plugging them both into the 12v switched power wire with the same results.

From everything you've described, it sounds like a ground issue. How did you verify your ground? Examine all of your signal connections as well.

I grounded it behind the rear seats using a large self-tapping screw in a spot where i sanded it down to bear metal. I assumed it was a good spot because the steel was pretty solid in this spot and seemed like it was near the frame of the car.

Tried different spots to ground in the trunk of the car and still the same results, also rechecked the connections to the factory radio and they all seem to check out.
